CoverCall
Privacy Policy
CoverCall rings your phone with an AI voice call at a time you choose, so you have a way out of an awkward moment. You say what is going on, the app plans the call, and when it rings you talk to an AI voice that plays the part. This policy says what the app and our servers hold about you, why, and for how long.
Who is responsible
CoverCall is operated by Avenzasoft UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Pinneberger Straße 8a, 22880 Wedel, Germany. Managing director: Aymen Mokhtari.

No sign-up, no identity
There is no account to create. The first time you open the app it makes an anonymous account tied to your device. It holds no name, email address, phone number, address book entry or location. The app does not ask for any of them.
What we keep on our servers, and for how long
- Your anonymous account: your language and whether you opted out of analytics. Kept until you delete the account.
- Call minutes: your balance and a list of every change to it (the welcome gift, a purchase, a call charged), with the caller name for calls. Kept until you delete the account. "Delete my data" keeps it, because it is a record of money, not content.
- Purchases: the store, product, order id, purchase token, price and the minutes granted. We use it to grant each purchase once and to check it with Google Play. Kept until you delete the account.
- A welcome-gift check: a one-way hash of an install id from your phone, so reinstalling does not give out the free minutes again. It is not linked to your account and cannot be turned back into the id. Kept, so the same phone cannot claim the gift twice.
- Your device: its platform, the app version, a hash of the sign-in token and when it was last seen. Kept until you delete the account. The sign-in token expires after 365 days unused.
- Your calls: when and in which time zone, the status, the caller name and relationship as you entered them, the scenario (including any description you typed), the voice and language, when it rang, was answered and ended, and its length. Upcoming calls are kept until they happen. Past calls are kept for 90 days, or until you delete them.
- Planned calls (contacts): the name, relationship, voice and language you chose, what you want to talk about in your own words, and when you last called. Kept until you delete the contact, your data or your account.
- Drafts: a call you prepared but never scheduled is kept for 24 hours.
- Usage counters: what kind of thing happened and how much (for example "call started", "call seconds"), with no content, to count your monthly allowance. Kept until you delete the account.
- Analytics: a short list of events such as "call created" or "call completed", with simple properties like a length bucket. They never carry a name, anything you typed or a phone number. Kept for 400 days. If you turn analytics off in Settings, none are collected and the ones already stored are deleted.
- Server logs: times, call outcomes, durations, model names and error kinds. They never contain audio, what anyone said, or what anyone typed.
What we never store
- Audio. Neither side of a call is recorded or kept. During a call, audio passes through the server's memory to the AI service and back, for the length of the call only.
- What is said in a call, beyond the call's status and length.
- Your contacts, your location, your phone number, advertising ids. The app does not ask for them.
Who else sees it: Google
To plan and run a call the server sends data to Google's Gemini API, which processes it for us:
- the description you typed or said, the caller details you chose, and your upcoming calls, to work out what you asked for and to write the call;
- during an AI call, your microphone audio, live, and the caller's voice comes back;
- a short recording of what you say to the microphone on the Home screen, once, to write it down. The words come back to the phone and the recording is not kept.
The app itself never talks to Gemini; only our server does, with a paid-tier project, so the content is not used to improve Google's products. Under Google's terms for paid projects, Google may log prompts and responses for a limited period, only to detect and prevent abuse and to meet legal requirements. We do not store your voice or what is said in a call; Google's handling is governed by its own terms.
Purchases go through Google Play. Google handles your payment details; we never see them, only the purchase record described above. On Android, the phone's own speech service may also listen when you speak to the app; that is Google's service and is governed by your phone's settings.
We do not sell your data, and we do not show ads.
The microphone and notifications
The microphone is on only while you answer a call and while you hold the microphone on Home to speak. Calls ring as full-screen notifications, so the app asks for notification and full-screen permission. You can withdraw any permission in your phone's settings at any time.
Your choices and your rights
In the app:
- History: delete a call, or clear all of History.
- Planned calls: delete a contact from its card.
- Settings, Privacy: turn analytics off.
- Settings, Delete my data: deletes your calls, planned calls, drafts and analytics events.
- Settings, Delete account: deletes everything, including the counters.

Because there is no identity attached to your account, we can only find your data from inside the app. If you also want to access, correct or object to the processing of data, or complain, write to aymen@avenzasoft.com. Under the GDPR you may also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
Legal basis
We process this data to provide the service you asked for (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), to keep it secure and prevent abuse such as claiming free minutes twice (Article 6(1)(f)), and for analytics only while you have not opted out.
Safety
The server checks what you ask for before a call is built, and refuses requests that impersonate police, banks, emergency services or public figures, or that aim at fraud or threats. A refused request is not stored.
Age
CoverCall is for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18.
